Important Information about ESTA

  • The ESTA is valid for 24 months from your approval date (or until the expiration date of your passport - if the passport expires within the next 24 months).
  • The ESTA is an entry authorization with a maximum duration of 90 days per visit.
  • The 90-day limit doesn't start counting until you arrive in the U.S.
  • The holder of an ESTA has the right to travel for tourism or certain business activities such as exploring work opportunities, consulting with business partners, traveling for the purpose of a scientific, academic or business convention or conference.
  • An ESTA holder cannot work, study or train.
