The duration is 6 months until the end of your course plus 90 additional days to leave the country or renew it. In addition, having a student visa allows you to work part-time legally, which helps you to gain Canadian work experience and to be able to apply for Canadian residence in the future.

What are the basic requirements to apply for this student visa?

• Have been admitted to a recognized higher education institution in Canada
• Present a valid passport valid for no less than six months, after the period of stay in the country.
• Have financial support for the studies to be carried out and maintenance.
